Chancellor of the Exchequer
This is the Government's principal Finance Minister, and the head of the Treasury. They are responsible for controlling overall government spending and setting taxes and tax rates. The Chancellor must prepare their plans for the economy and present them to the House of Commons in the Budget speech. They are the only MP allowed to drink alcohol in the House of Commons - every Chancellor is allowed an alcoholic drink while delivering the Budget.
The Chancellor normally lives at Number 11 Downing Street.
