Role:

The Home Office is responsible for internal affairs in England and Wales and seeks to promote a safe, just and tolerant society through its policies to reduce crime, deliver justice and regulate entry to the United Kingdom.

It also deals with immigration, constitutional, citizenship and human rights issues, and promotes race equality and diversity with the help of the Commission for Racial Equality.
